WTF is a Hotlink?
Some site owners list and link directly to files owned by and residing on other sites and servers. This is called a "Hot Link". This puts undue load on servers and that too without any credit to the actual provider of the content, as the user never comes to know where the file came from. Fortunately some of us found a way to identify and stop such theft!
